SIS Fund and Negotiations Update
Published on Tuesday, April 14, 2020
I received an update on April 9, 2020 from the Sprinkler Industry Supplemental Pension Fund (SIS Fund). The Fund Trustees have approved a plan to allow a one-time withdrawal from the SIS Fund limited to no more than $30,000.00. A detailed announcement, and the new application will be mailed to the SIS Fund Participants within the next two weeks.
The Collective Bargaining Agreement expires June 1, 2020. Negotiations have been put on hold due to the Coronavirus. It may be possible to hold negotiation meetings in May (hopefully). However, if we cannot meet before the CBA expires, it will be extended month by month until negotiation meetings can be held. I will keep you apprised of any new developments.
