Additional Life Insurance Benefit

To the Local 281 Members
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
I hope that everyone is safe and healthy.
Thank you for all the well wishes and prayers for Diane and me.
In the next few days, you will be receiving a brochure from the Midwest Coalition of Labor (MCL). This organization was started a few years ago by the Operating Engineers, Carpenters, Electricians, Laborers, etc. The MCL has over 140,000 members. This gives the member organizations much greater purchasing power and influence. The brochure is self-explanatory and is provided to all Local 281 Members and their families free of charge. Unfortunately, the life insurance policy benefit is only available to Active Members.
I am working with Voya, the life insurance company to see what we can do to provide additional life insurance for our Retired Members. I will keep the Retired Members updated on the progress.
Once you receive the brochure from MCL, Tim Morrin will be the contact person for Local 281. Please feel free to contact Tim if you have any questions.
Fraternally yours,
Thomas M. Collins
