Retiree Seminar - (4/23/2024)
We are pleased to announce the 2024 Sprinkler Fitters Local 281 Retirement Seminar for Active and Retired members and their spouses. Please take advantage of this cost-free benefit! The purpose of this seminar is to educate members on the current retirement benefits, as well as to prepare members on what to expect moving closer to retirement. The following groups will be present with information and retirement guidance:
The National Automatic Sprinkler Industry (NASI) will be on site to explain the Pension and SIS benefits, as well as the options available to members and their spouses. They will also walk you through the onboarding process from start to finish.
Labor First provides member services for all retirees enrolled in the Local 281 Welfare Plan’s Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) program. Labor First will offer guidance on enrollment and describe the benefits available through Humana, the Fund’s MAPD provider.
SSDC Services Corp. is endorsed by the Midwest Coalition of Labor (MCL), offering guidance to members and their spouses regarding social security disability through the Local 281 Welfare Fund. If you have a significant injury or illness which may shorten your working career, the services of SSDC are a free benefit through the Welfare Fund.
Megent Financial is a dedicated, labor-based retirement planning firm providing over 25 years of service for Union Members in the Chicagoland area. Megent Financial is also an endorsed provider of the MCL. Their seminars have been attended by thousands of Union Members just like us.
Union Legal Services is endorsed by the MCL and offers discounted legal services as well as free residential property tax appeals, credit consulting & repair and expungements.
This seminar will be held Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 11900 S. Laramie Ave., Alsip, IL, 60803, and will begin promptly at 8:30am. Bottled water, coffee and breakfast will be provided from 8:00 to 9:30am. The seminar will conclude by 12:30pm. I cordially invite you and strongly encourage spouses to attend.
