Special Union Meeting - (6/27/2024)
Dear Brothers and Sisters:
The Sprinkler Fitters Union Local 281, U.A. Negotiating Committee and the National Fire Sprinkler Association Contractors’ Negotiating Committee have reached a Tentative Collective Bargaining Agreement. This Tentative Agreement is pending ratification by the members of Sprinkler Fitters Union Local 281, U.A.
There will be a special meeting of Sprinkler Fitters Union Local 281, U.A. to vote on the ratification of the Proposed Agreement. All Articles of the proposed Agreement will be presented in detail at this meeting. The meeting will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at the Local 281 Union Hall, 11900 S. Laramie Avenue, Alsip, IL. Due to the importance of this special meeting, the meeting will start promptly at 3:00 p.m.
All Journeyman members in good standing, 4th Year, and 5th Year Apprentices are eligible to vote on the ratification.
On behalf of the Negotiating Committee and the Officers of Sprinkler Fitters Union Local 281, U.A., I wish to thank the members for their support throughout the negotiations. The Local 281, U.A. Negotiating Committee has worked extremely hard to achieve this Tentative Agreement. The terms of this Agreement will allow us to move forward and prosper while protecting all aspects of our trade jurisdiction. We strongly urge all members to ratify this Agreement.
